As the middle child of three siblings, he was known as a calm, caring, and composed child from an early age, rarely troubling his parents, who focused more on Eilert. Although he was not as prominent as his twin brother, Stellan believed he would live in Eilert’s shadow while taking on the role of supporter for him. However, due to concerns from both his mother and Eilert, Stellan began learning how to stand out on his own. As someone naturally shy, he was not used to being the centre of attention, but he had his own way of shining. His academics were exceptional—often ranking at the top of his class—and he was also skilled at playing the piano and violin. He once was encouraged to pursue a career in music, but Stellan politely declined and chose to focus solely on his studies. The moment he was seen as equal to Eilert was when he was elected Vice President of the student council in secondary school. Despite his frail health, which often sent him back and forth to hospital, Stellan was a responsible and disciplined individual who took his duties seriously. As he grew older, his mind became sharper and more open, particularly regarding the social, economic, and political conditions of his homeland. This led him to choose a degree in law, to become a future lawyer as his own dream.
